• Pamukbank branch offices are %44 more efficient ( BT News / Pg: 246 / 6-12,December,1999)

Pamukbank has made an increase in efficiency at the rate of %44 in back office applications with Buic1500 Cheque scanners that Aton,working on document administration area, has configured.Pamukbank points out that in the branch offices work burden has decreased at a high rate owing to Buic1500 scanners, being used in the cheque registration applications in bank composition and cheque-change operations that are done with Central Bank of Turkey.

Pamukbank Organization Department Manager, Özlen Akay Sanibelli who gave some information about he subject, explains that to improve workflow of branch offices, they aim to set definite standards.Sanibelli continues to explain as this:
“As you know nobody likes waiting in banks. For this reason the only thing that a customer thinks is immediately finishing the action and leaving the bank. Our searching results proved its truthfulness. And a question aroused about how we can provide the quickest service to our customers. At this point, we began to.

Think about how we decrease the process time. We determined that the most logical application would be utile from technology. Because using technology is the correct way to reach this aim.

Pamukbank Organization Department Service Manager,Mehmet Erdogdu,who says that before they has done long time workings with Aton and so obtained scanners about; explains that they has began to use totally 7 Buic1500 in Pamukbank central and branch offices.

Erdogdu,saying that they can transfer cheque images to automation used in Pamukbank composition, explains bank managers are preparing this system as an operation center in a short time and this makes the platform for the archiving system in new central.

Sannibelli,telling that they made some tests intended for work duration at branch offices after having used Buic1500,informed they determined recovery at the rate of % 24 in Pamukbank cheque operations and at the rate of %44 in cheque-change operations being done with Central Bank of Turkey.

Aton General Manager,Mehmet Ali Onurgüder who gives information about Buic1500 ‘s properties, proves that the system can work in integration WindowsNT, 95,98 and OS2 operation systems.Onurguder gives point to Buic1500 with 200 document processing capacity that it is the best solution to make a cheque archive in back office applications.

Aton Technological Products Company, working on archive and document administration, has made the project to protect the Cyprus National Archive. With the project, sponsored by GDS Holding, being scanned and transferred to computer media of Cyprus National Archive is performed.

In the project that Easy Archive software,Aton is the Turkey authorized reseller of it, being used also Pulnix A1 figure scanner is used which provides scanning of historical documents without eroding.

General Manager. Ali Onurguder emphasizing that Pulnix scanner has digital camera design he explains that the least delicate and largest archive documents can be transferred to the system without damage with this scanner. Onurguder says that as Aton,they are proud of with attributing a project that has national importance for country twinning, Cyprus. He says that besides Pulnix scanner and Easy Archive archiving system, they provide a PC based microfilm scanner Screen Scan brand which has Windows NT operating system. Explaining that they gave education to personals there of hardware and software brands that is set up for Cyprus National Archive, Onurguder added that applications and tests are positive.

Aton technological products company has finished Easy Archive system project that began in Kentbank Credits Department Intelligence and Financial Analyze Board.Aton aims to improve this project in all Kentbank composition. With archiving software, also providing hardware brands the system needs,Aton,informed that they have created non paper office media with Easy Archive’s document administration property in Kentbank Intelligence and Financial Analyze Management.

Kentbank Intelligence and Financial Analyze Management Expert,Ugur Koc,we got information about Easy Archive software application in Kentbank, said that after nearly two months pilot-scale they began to use Easy Archive vigorously.Koc,emphasizing that one of the main tasks of Intelligence department is to glean news about a person, institution and the other sector’s working that effect financial developments and banking sector and through this workings, they bent to search an archive administration system two years ago with enlarging archive that kept in their departments with classical methods and in paper media so this made enlarging and using the archive difficult.Koc,says that the most important reason for preferring Aton was changing their archiving systems and computer platform.

Koc explained that in a month’s time they approximately had scanned 900 documents and made the new system as arranging according to them with being loaded Easy Archive software.Koc said ,”we save some newspapers articles in our archive. But the headline of the news and contents are not related many times. So we waste time in reaching the information we want. After using Easy Archive we can reach wanted information in a short time.”

Koc explained that they began to make separate archive in the same system for the reports prepared at the end of the meeting with other companies as making more than an archive in the Easy Archive system.Koc explained that they will use Easy Archive in all Kentbank composition after having adequate document backlog in the system as saying that they will create a separate archive for the documents getting from Word, Excel or the internet in registered company in the system.Koc added that the system will be used in all Kentbank branch offices that are now 71, and numbers of them will increase to 140 in 2000 and also in Kentbank General Management. Aton General Manager Onurguder said that the system is ready for comprising the whole bank as explaining that in two machines, one of them is organizing software, and the other is making document signed in, with the system working with five user license.Onurguder emphasized that they can set up Jukebox system and can transfer documents to CD media if the numbers of the documents and data in the archive increase. But there is no need such a structure. Saying they has provided an exact solution for Kentbank,Onurguder added that in this department Ricoh branded A3 dimensional scanner which Aton is the authorized reseller of, works.
